Aloe Arborescens (Krantz Aloe)

Succulent plant of African origin. Has very showy evergreen leaves, acuminate, fleshy, with non-prickly thorns on edges. Long, red floral spikes in March-April. Needs soils that are not too damp. Easy to grow in the ground or in a pot, as long as the soil or compost is permeable because it is liable to rot. Effective on its own or in groups; resistant to wind and sea climate and suitable for all gardens.
